What We Do

The Code Enforcement division ensures that commercial buildings, public assembly areas, and state-owned properties comply with the San Andreas Fire Code. This includes reviewing building plans for fire safety compliance, conducting regular safety inspections, and issuing citations for violations. Their proactive approach prevents tragedies before they occur.

Our team of highly trained investigators responds to complex fire scenes to determine the origin and cause of the fire. When a fire is determined to be incendiary (arson), our investigators, who hold full peace officer status, work meticulously to build criminal cases and bring offenders to justice.

Knowledge is the first line of defense against fire. This division coordinates community outreach programs, school presentations, and public awareness campaigns regarding fire safety, smoke alarms, and emergency preparedness.

The Engineering division evaluates new fire protection systems and technologies, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for use in San Andreas. They also oversee the licensing and certification of companies that install and maintain these critical life-safety systems.
