Fireworks Use and Safety Enforcement Act

Section 1: Definitions

"Safe and Sane Fireworks" shall mean and include all fireworks which do not dart or travel about the surface of the earth, nor dart or travel into the air, nor explode.

"Dangerous Fireworks" shall mean and include any firework which darts or travels about the surface of the earth, or darts or travels into the air, or explodes.

Section 2: Permitted Items

Only "Safe and Sane" fireworks bearing the seal of the State Fire Marshal are permitted for sale, possession, and use within the State of San Andreas, subject to local ordinances.

Use of "Safe and Sane" fireworks is restricted to specific dates surrounding July 4th and New Year's Eve, unless explicitly permitted via a special event license.

Section 3: Prohibitions

It is unlawful for any person to possess, sell, use, or discharge "Dangerous Fireworks" within the State of San Andreas without a commercial pyrotechnic operator license.

Specifically prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Firecrackers / M-80s
  • Roman Candles
  • Bottle Rockets / Sky Rockets
  • Mortars
  • Any device that launches into the air or explodes.

Section 4: Penalties

Violations of the F.U.S.E. Act are taken extremely seriously due to the high risk of catastrophic wildfire in San Andreas.

Misdemeanor: Possession of dangerous fireworks may result in a fine of up to $1,000 and up to 1 year in county jail.

Felony: Possession of large quantities of dangerous fireworks, or possession with intent to distribute, or causing a fire resulting in property damage or injury through the use of illegal fireworks, is punishable by significant fines and state prison time.
